Where is the data to support the statement that bachelors prepared nurses are better care providers than AD or diploma nurses? I’d like to see scientific literature explaining how PhD prepared nurse scholars do their “research” on this topic…how the control group was established and what parameters were measured as statistically significant to demonstate a cause and effect relationship that the BSN degree is necessary. We know that observational studies don’t establish cause and effect relationships.I have yet to see any compelling evidence based on an actual experiment that the push to BSN is anything other than a marketing ploy for Magnet status and money.
